ASUS Vivobook 15 F512DA 24GB RAM

The ASUS Vivobook 15 F512DA is a 15.6 inch laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 3700U quad-core processor. It comes with 24GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB SATA SSD. Integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics handle the display output on the 1920 x 1080 non-touch screen. Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed.

Home office users needing memory and storage

This configuration suits people who run multiple browser tabs, office suites or video calls and want the headroom of 24GB RAM plus a large 2TB SATA SSD. The 37 WHr battery and 45W adapter support light mobility. Buyers who need a dedicated GPU for 3D rendering or a larger screen for colour-critical work should consider other options.

24GB DDR4 SODIMM memory capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 24GB DDR4 SODIMM memory capacity. It determines how many applications stay open without swapping to the 2TB SATA SSD. Verify that your workload benefits from this amount before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop need any extra DDR4 SODIMM memory installed to reach the advertised 24GB?

No. The system already ships with 24GB of DDR4 SODIMM RAM installed, so no additional memory modules are required for it to work as described.

Will my existing USB 2.0 peripherals work with the two USB 2.0 ports on this notebook?

Yes. The two USB 2.0 ports are fully backward-compatible, so any USB 2.0 device you already own will connect and function normally.

How can I confirm the 2TB SATA SSD is recognised and usable after the first boot?

Open File Explorer or Disk Management in Windows 10 Home; the drive should appear with its full 2TB capacity and be ready for file storage.
