Built for harsh environments

The Dell Latitude 5424 Rugged is a 14.0-inch laptop engineered to military-grade durability standards. Its reinforced chassis withstands vibration, shock, and extreme temperatures, making it suitable for field technicians, first responders, and mobile professionals who operate outside standard office conditions. The non-touch FHD display delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution for clear data viewing in direct sunlight.

Connectivity for field operations

The system integrates USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C connector, HDMI, DisplayPort, a serial port, and an RJ-45 jack to support legacy industrial equipment and modern peripherals alike. Optional LTE 4G and dedicated GPS modules keep the unit online when Wi-Fi is unavailable, while hot-swappable battery packs allow continuous operation without AC power. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit manages the 16 GB DDR4 memory and 256 GB SSD for rapid boot and application load times.

Efficient thermal management

The quad-core Intel Core i5-8350U processor runs at a base frequency with turbo up to 3.60 GHz and a 6 MB L2 cache, cooled by a ruggedised thermal solution designed for sustained loads in sealed environments. Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles visual output without a discrete GPU, keeping power draw low and fan noise minimal during typical productivity workloads. The integrated 6-cell or 9-cell battery options support full-shift runtime under normal use.
