Built for field work

The Dell Latitude 5424 is a 14.0 inch rugged notebook designed for professionals who operate in harsh environments. Its chassis passes military-grade testing for shock, vibration and extreme temperatures. The non-touch FHD panel reaches 1920 x 1080 resolution with brightness suited for direct sunlight viewing. An 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 6 MB cache and Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles everyday business workloads. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Dual-drive layout and port selection

Two M.2 solid-state drives provide 256 GB and 1 TB of storage in a single device, giving fast boot speeds and large local capacity without moving parts. The 8 GB DDR4 memory supports multitasking across office applications. Connectivity includes USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a USB Type-C port, HDMI, DisplayPort, a serial port and RJ-45 Ethernet for legacy and modern peripherals. An OEM charger is included in the box.

Verify your workflow needs

This unit ships with a non-touch display; confirm that your field software does not require touch or pen input. The integrated graphics are not intended for heavy 3D rendering or GPU-accelerated compute tasks. Only 8 GB of memory is installed, so check whether your applications demand more RAM than the system provides. Wireless WWAN, GPS and hot-swap bridge battery options are mentioned by the manufacturer but may not be present on this specific configuration.
