Latitude 5590 15.6" Touchscreen Ultrabook

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 15.6 inch Full HD IPS touchscreen ultrabook built for mobile professionals who need a durable, business-class notebook. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 16 GB DDR4 RAM and a 512 GB SSD. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles everyday visual tasks.

User-replaceable RAM and SSD access

The chassis allows straightforward upgrades to memory and storage through a removable base cover, so technicians can swap the DDR4 modules or the solid-state drive without specialised tools. Care is needed when disconnecting the battery cable and routing the antenna wires during reassembly to avoid pinched cables or a missing Wi-Fi signal.

16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD headroom

The 16 GB DDR4 configuration comfortably runs multiple office applications, browser tabs and video conferencing simultaneously, while the 512 GB SSD provides fast boot times and ample space for documents and local caches. Memory-intensive workloads such as large virtual machines or heavy video editing will hit the 16 GB ceiling, and the single drive bay limits total internal storage unless an external device is added.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Intel UHD Graphics 620 is active after setup?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters and verify Intel UHD Graphics 620 appears without a warning icon; run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and check the Display tab shows the same driver version.

What ships with the Latitude 5590 and what must I source myself?

The unit includes the laptop, AC adapter and Windows 10 Pro licence; no external peripherals, docking station or additional storage are bundled.

Should I choose the 16 GB DDR4 / 512 GB SSD build or a higher RAM and storage tier?

Select the 16 GB DDR4 and 512 GB SSD configuration when your workload fits within that memory and capacity; step up to 32 GB DDR4 or a larger SSD only if you routinely exceed those limits.
