Suits single-device workers needing touch

Buyers who want a lightweight 14-inch touchscreen with a full set of legacy ports and a quad-core U-series CPU will find this configuration ready for office suites and cloud apps. Questions about this item

How long before the Intel Core i7-8550U hits its thermal limit when all four cores run flat out?

The quad-core i7-8550U will throttle once its integrated cooling saturates; sustained all-core loads push the 15 W envelope quickly.

What fan noise and surface temperatures should I expect after hours of continuous work?

Under load the single fan spins audibly and the keyboard deck warms to the touch; idle it is near-silent and cool.

Which dock or port replicator do I need to drive two external monitors plus wired Ethernet?

Use the USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port with a DisplayPort alt-mode dock; the built-in HDMI and RJ-45 handle the second display and LAN.
