What the splitter does

The LUOM OZF2-1 takes one HDMI source and duplicates it to two displays at the same time. It supports 4K at 60 Hz, 1080p at 120 Hz, 3D and deep-colour formats up to 36-bit. Audio formats including DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD pass through unchanged.

When to add this to a setup

Use it when a single console, streamer or Blu-ray player must feed two screens without switching inputs. The unit amplifies the signal so cable runs up to 15 metres at 1080p or 8 metres at 4K stay stable. It does not switch between multiple sources, so buyers needing input selection need a different device.

Bandwidth tops out at 2.25 Gbps per channel, capping 4K output at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 colour. Mixed-resolution setups downscale the 4K stream to 1080p automatically, but 4:2:2 4K at 60 Hz cannot be downscaled. HDR metadata passes through, yet higher refresh rates or 8K resolutions are beyond this standard.
