DLC content and target players

This downloadable content pack adds two legendary hunters, a custom Nagant M1895 revolver, and a unique knife to Hunt: Showdown 1896. It is designed for existing owners of the base game who want to expand their roster with the Bone Doctor and Weird Sister characters. The Steam code delivers the items directly to your library once activated.

In-match behaviour and loadout impact

The Copperhead sidearm and Blood Oath knife function as cosmetic weapon variants with identical stats to their standard counterparts, so they do not alter damage, fire rate, or handling during extended firefights. Both hunters enter matches with the same trait slots and health pools as other legendary skins, meaning long-term survival depends on player skill rather than any statistical advantage from this DLC.

Compatibility checks before purchase

You must already own Hunt: Showdown 1896 on Steam, as this product is a DLC and not a standalone title. A Steam account is required to redeem the supplied code and download the content. The ESRB Mature rating indicates the material is intended for players aged seventeen and older, matching the base game's existing classification.

Questions about this item

Does the Legends of the Bayou DLC increase heat or power draw when running all day?

This is a downloadable content pack for Hunt: Showdown 1896; it adds two Hunters, a Nagant 1895 weapon and a knife, but does not change the base game's system load or power consumption.

What must I already own for the 86978 DLC to work?

You need the base game Hunt: Showdown 1896 on Steam and a Steam account for activation; the DLC cannot be played without them.

Will the Copperhead Nagant 1895 and Blood Oath knife work with my existing hunters from the 2019 release?

Yes, the new weapon and tool are available in your loadout for any hunter you already own, and the two included legendary hunters join your roster alongside them.
