Hunt: Showdown 1896 DLC The Rat

This downloadable content adds the legendary hunter Tona Ramirez, known as The Rat, to Hunt: Showdown 1896. It is delivered as a Steam online game code for PC. The DLC requires the base game Hunt: Showdown 1896 on Steam to function. Players unlock a new character with a unique backstory set in the Louisiana bayou.

For players who own the base game on Steam

Suits owners of Hunt: Showdown 1896 on PC who want to expand their roster with a new legendary hunter. The content is tied to a Steam account for activation and installation. Players without the base game cannot use this DLC. Buyers seeking a standalone experience or a different platform should look elsewhere.

Steam DRM and base game requirement

Activation requires a Steam account and an existing installation of Hunt: Showdown 1896. The product key redeems the DLC directly into the Steam library. Without the base game present on the same account, the content remains inaccessible. This dependency is the single factor deciding compatibility.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 86995 DLC code on Steam?

Open Steam, select Activate a Product on Steam from the Games menu, enter the code, then ensure the base game Hunt: Showdown 1896 is installed so the DLC unlocks automatically.

Will the Rat DLC require any future downloads or patches?

The DLC itself is a one-time activation, but Steam will deliver any game updates or patches for Hunt: Showdown 1896 that include new content or fixes for The Rat.

What is the first limitation I hit when playing The Rat DLC for long sessions?

Your Windows 10 64-bit system must meet the base game's minimum processor and memory requirements, otherwise performance will degrade during extended play.
