Built for field work

The Latitude 5424 Rugged is a 14.0-inch notebook tested to military-grade standards for shock, vibration and extreme temperatures. Its sealed chassis and toughened Direct View display let professionals operate reliably in rain, dust or direct sunlight. The non-touch FHD panel reaches brightness levels suited for outdoor readability. This unit arrives new with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installed.

Steady performance on long shifts

The quad-core i7-8650U runs at up to 4.20 GHz with 8 MB L2 cache, paired with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB SSD. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles everyday visual tasks without a discrete GPU. Thermal design targets sustained output rather than short bursts, so the system remains stable during full-shift workloads. Two internal battery options, including a hot-swap bridge battery, support extended runtime away from power outlets.

Connectivity that survives the job site

Ports include USB 3.0, USB Type-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, a serial port and RJ-45 for wired networks. Wireless options cover Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and optional LTE 4G with dedicated GPS for field coordination. The ruggedised connectors resist moisture and dust ingress during daily mate and unmate cycles. A Dell OEM charger is included in the box.
