Latitude 5590 14" FHD Quad-Core Ultrabook

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 14.0 inch FHD business laptop powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor. It ships with 32 GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SSD running Windows 10 Pro. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the 1920 x 1080 IPS non-touch display.

Suits mobile professionals needing high memory

This configuration serves users who run multiple business applications, large spreadsheets or virtual machines on the move. The 32 GB DDR4 allocation removes the usual memory bottleneck. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card for CAD, rendering or gaming should look elsewhere, as the platform relies solely on integrated graphics.

32 GB DDR4 soldered memory decides fit

The 32 GB capacity is the defining specification; it cannot be upgraded later because the modules are not user-accessible. If your workflow demands more memory now or in the future, this unit will not meet that requirement. For workloads that stay within 32 GB, the combination of quad-core CPU and 1TB SSD delivers responsive performance.

Questions about this item

How do I install extra storage in the Latitude 5590 and which step is often missed?

The 1TB SSD is already fitted; if you add a second drive, secure it with the caddy screw and re-seat the battery connector before closing the base cover.

What maintenance or replacement will the Latitude 5590 need later?

The 32 GB DDR4 memory is soldered, so only the SSD and the internal battery are replaceable; expect to swap the battery when run-time becomes too short.

What limit appears first on the i5-8350U during sustained heavy workloads?

The 15 W TDP and integrated UHD 620 graphics cause thermal throttling before the 3.60 GHz turbo can be held for long periods.
