Built for harsh environments

The DELL Latitude 5424 Rugged is a 14-inch laptop engineered to withstand tough conditions. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 8 MB cache and speeds up to 4.20 GHz. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles visual output on the 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display.

Suits mobile field workers

This machine fits professionals who need a durable device for outdoor or industrial use where direct sunlight readability matters. The sealed chassis and rugged construction protect internal components from dust and shock. Buyers who want more storage capacity or a dedicated graphics card for heavy rendering should look elsewhere.

Includes Dell OEM charger

The bundled power adapter ensures the system receives the correct voltage for charging the internal battery packs. Windows 11 Professional 64-bit is pre-installed, providing a ready-to-work software environment. Connectivity ports include USB 3.0, USB Type C, HDMI, DisplayPort, Serial and RJ-45 for peripheral flexibility.

Questions about this item

What operating system must already be installed for the Windows 11 Pro licence to activate on this Latitude 5424?

The laptop ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit pre-installed, so no prior operating system is required for activation.

Will the USB 3.0 ports and DisplayPort work with older USB 2.0 peripherals and a VGA monitor using a passive adapter?

USB 3.0 ports are backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices, and the DisplayPort output can drive a VGA display through an active adapter.

How can I verify the Intel UHD Graphics 620 is running after the initial Windows 11 Pro setup?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and confirm Intel UHD Graphics 620 appears without a warning icon.
