Business 14-inch ultrabook

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 14.0 inch FHD IPS laptop powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 8 GB DDR4 RAM and a 1 TB SSD. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 for everyday productivity. The non-touch display offers 1920 x 1080 resolution in a compact black chassis.

Office workers needing portability

This configuration suits professionals who want a lightweight 4.19 lb device with a quad-core CPU, ample solid-state storage and a full set of legacy ports including VGA and RJ45. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics card, a touchscreen panel, more than 8 GB of memory or a larger 15.6 inch screen should consider other models.

1 TB solid-state drive

The single specification that decides fit is the 1 TB SSD, which provides fast boot times and enough space for large local file libraries without a secondary hard drive. If your workflow demands more internal storage or a different drive format, this unit will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the 1TB SSD fit in a standard 2.5-inch bay?

The 1TB SSD is already installed in the Latitude 5590; the chassis uses the original drive tray so no extra bay is required.

What is the first step to install Windows 11 Pro on this unit?

Power on the laptop; Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and boots directly to the out-of-box experience.

When should the 8GB DDR4 memory be upgraded?

Upgrade to the supported 32GB maximum when multitasking or heavier workloads exceed the current 8GB capacity.
