Connectivity for the desk and the road

Three USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, one with PowerShare, sit alongside a USB Type-C port that carries DisplayPort and optional Thunderbolt. HDMI and VGA outputs drive external monitors while RJ45 and Wi-Fi 4 handle wired and wireless networks. An SD slot and optional SIM tray expand storage and mobile data options.

The PowerShare port keeps phones or accessories charged while the system sleeps. DisplayPort over Type-C lets you add a modern monitor without a dock. The Nobel wedge lock slot secures the chassis physically. Windows 10 Pro enables BitLocker and remote management features for IT control.

Questions about this item

Will the Intel Core i7-8650U throttle under sustained heavy workloads?

The quad-core i7-8650U runs at 1.90 GHz base and can boost to 4.20 GHz, but thermal limits in the 14.0" chassis will reduce clocks during prolonged all-core loads.

How loud and hot does the laptop get when running all day?

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 keeps heat output moderate; the single fan stays quiet during office work and spins up to an audible but not intrusive level under continuous heavy use.

What cables or peripherals must I already own to use the video outputs?

You need an HDMI cable for the full-size HDMI port and a USB-C to DisplayPort cable or adapter for the USB Type-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode.
