Latitude 5590 business ultrabook

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 15.6 inch business ultrabook built for professionals who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine for daily office work, video calls and document handling. Its quad-core i5-8350U processor and 16 GB of DDR4 memory deliver responsive multitasking for typical productivity workloads.

1 TB SSD capacity and integrated graphics

The 1 TB solid-state drive provides ample space for large project files, local databases and media libraries without relying on external storage. Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles external displays up to 1920 x 1080 and light creative tasks, but it is not suited for 3D rendering, modern gaming or GPU-accelerated compute workloads.

Ports and expansion options

The chassis includes HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort over USB Type-C, three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports (one with PowerShare), RJ45 Ethernet, an SD card reader and an optional SIM tray for mobile broadband. Thunderbolt support is listed as optional on the Type-C port, so buyers needing certified Thunderbolt 3 speeds should verify the specific unit configuration.

Questions about this item

Will the USB 3.1 Gen1 ports and HDMI work with my older USB 3.0 dock and 1080p monitor?

Yes — the laptop has three USB 3.1 Gen1 ports (one with PowerShare) and an HDMI output, both compatible with USB 3.0 docks and 1920 x 1080 displays.

How can I confirm the i5-8350U is running at its 1.7 GHz base and 3.6 GHz boost after setup?

Open Task Manager → Performance → CPU to see the live clock speed; it should idle near 1.70 GHz and rise toward 3.60 GHz under load.

Does the box include a USB-C video adapter or an RJ45 cable, or do I need to buy them separately?

The laptop ships with its power adapter; USB-C DisplayPort and RJ45 cables are not included and must be purchased separately.
