14-Inch FHD Touch Display

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a business ultrabook built for professionals who need a responsive touchscreen in a compact chassis. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 8 GB of DDR4 memory. A 1 TB solid-state drive provides the primary storage. The 14.0-inch IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution with touch input.

Mobile Workers Needing Touch Input

This configuration suits users who value direct screen interaction for presentations, annotation or tablet-style use while travelling. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles general productivity and video playback but is not designed for 3D rendering, CAD workloads or modern gaming. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance or a dedicated number pad should look at larger workstation-class machines.

1 TB SSD Storage Capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 1 TB solid-state drive, which determines how much local data, applications and offline files the laptop can hold. With no secondary drive bay mentioned, this capacity is fixed unless an external solution is used. Verify that one terabyte meets your offline storage requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

How does the i5-8350U quad-core processor running at 1.7 GHz with a 3.60 GHz boost handle everyday workloads?

The four cores and eight threads provide smooth multitasking for office apps, web browsing and video playback, while the turbo frequency kicks in for short bursts of heavier work.

What external displays can I drive through the USB Type-C port with DisplayPort alt mode?

The port carries a DisplayPort signal so you can connect one external monitor at up to 4K resolution without a separate dock.

Will this 14.0-inch chassis fit in a standard 15-inch laptop sleeve?

The body measures 14.8 inches wide by 9.87 inches deep and 0.9 inches high at the front, so it slides comfortably into most 15-inch bags.
