Built for heavy multitasking

This ThinkPad T490 pairs an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8265U with 40GB of DDR4 memory and a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The quad-core processor reaches 4.1 GHz when workloads demand it. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed for immediate business use.

Connectivity for docks and displays

Thunderbolt 3 and a second USB-C 3.1 Gen1 port handle power, data and external monitors through one cable each. Two USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet and a micro-SD reader cover legacy peripherals without adapters. Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.1 keep wireless links stable.

Security and mobility extras

A fingerprint reader adds hardware authentication beyond passwords. The 720p webcam supports daily video calls. Integrated Intel UHD graphics drive the 14.0 inch 1366 x 768 panel at 60 Hz. A 50 Whr battery and 65 W supply keep the 3.23 lb chassis running between outlets.
