Tri-band Wi-Fi 6E access point with dual 2.5 GbE ports and 12-month Sophos Central support subscription included
Model AP6 840E
Model 1-Year Support
The Sophos AP6 840E is a tri-radio indoor access point supporting 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. It delivers 4x4:4 MIMO across each radio for high-density environments such as offices or campuses. Management is handled locally or through Sophos Central with an active support subscription. The unit includes a one-year support entitlement.
Confirm your switch or injector provides 802.3bt PoE++ at 60 W per port to meet the 45 W maximum draw. The device offers one 2.5G port with PoE++ and a second 2.5G port without power. Ensure the ceiling or wall opening accommodates the 225 x 43 x 225 mm plenum-rated chassis. A micro-USB console port is available for local setup.
Under continuous operation all three radios run simultaneously, each on a single 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz or 6 GHz band. The 4x4:4 MIMO configuration maintains spatial streams for multiple clients across 48 SSIDs. Theoretical aggregate throughput reaches 8350 Mbps split as 1150 Mbps, 2800 Mbps and 4800 Mbps per band. The plenum rating and medical certifications indicate stable thermal behaviour in enclosed spaces.

Other versions of this model
The access point requires an 802.3bt PoE++ source rated at 60 W; a suitable injector or CS210-8FP switch is sold separately.
The 840E is the tri-radio 4x4:4 model delivering 1150 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, 2800 Mbps on 5 GHz and 4800 Mbps on 6 GHz for high-density offices.
The 8350 Mbps is the combined theoretical maximum across all three radios; actual client speeds depend on channel width, spatial streams supported and RF conditions.
