Questions about this item

What thermal limit does the i7-8650U hit first during sustained heavy workloads?

The quad-core i7-8650U is rated for a maximum turbo frequency of 4.20 GHz; under continuous load the processor will throttle to stay within its thermal design envelope, so sustained clocks settle below that peak.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the laptop runs all day on mains power?

The rugged chassis uses passive-heatsink and fan cooling tuned for field use; expect audible fan noise under load and surface temperatures that remain safe to touch but noticeably warm during extended operation.

Which dock or port replicator do I need to drive two external monitors from the USB-C and video outputs?

The laptop provides one HDMI and one DisplayPort alongside USB-C; a compatible Dell dock or multi-port adapter connected to those ports will drive two external displays without requiring proprietary hardware.
