Built for harsh environments

The DELL Latitude 5424 Rugged is a 14.0 inch laptop designed to withstand tough conditions. It features a durable chassis tested to military standards for reliable operation in the field. An Intel Core i5-8350U processor with 6MB cache and 8GB DDR4 memory handles business applications. Dual solid-state storage combines a 512GB drive with a 2TB drive for ample capacity.

Suited for mobile field work

This machine suits professionals who need a touchscreen readable in direct sunlight and usable with gloves. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 supports standard office tasks and external displays via HDMI and DisplayPort. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. Users requiring a lighter ultraportable design for frequent air travel may find the rugged chassis heavier than standard notebooks.

Straightforward deployment

Windows 11 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed on the primary 512GB drive for immediate use. The rugged ports include USB 3.0, USB Type-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, serial, and RJ-45 for legacy and modern peripherals. An included Dell OEM charger ensures correct power delivery. The main installation risk is configuring the dual SSD storage layout if the operating system does not automatically recognise the second 2TB volume.
