The DELL Latitude 5424 is a 14.0 inch rugged laptop built for harsh environments. It combines a toughened direct-view display with military-grade chassis construction tested to failure. An 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor and 8 GB DDR4 memory run Windows 10 Pro.

Field workers needing glove-friendly touch

This unit suits crews who need a sunlight-readable 10-point touchscreen operable with protective gloves. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 and dual SSD storage support typical business apps. Buyers who want a lighter ultraportable or discrete graphics for heavy rendering should look elsewhere.

Dual M.2 SSD storage configuration

The laptop provides 512 GB plus 2 TB across two M.2 solid-state drives, giving large local capacity for offline data. This specific layout determines whether the device meets your storage needs without external drives.

Questions about this item

Does this Latitude 5424 need a specific AC adapter to charge the internal 6- or 9-cell battery packs?

The Dell OEM charger included with the laptop is the power supply required to charge the internal battery packs and run the system.

Can I keep using my existing USB 3.0 Type-A peripherals and an HDMI monitor with the ports on this unit?

Yes, the laptop provides USB 3.0 Type-A ports and an HDMI output, so current USB 3.0 devices and HDMI displays connect directly.

How can I verify the touchscreen and Intel UHD Graphics 620 are functioning after Windows 10 Pro boots?

Open Device Manager and confirm "Intel UHD Graphics 620" appears under Display adapters, then test ten-point touch response on the 1920 x 1080 FHD panel.
