Built for field work

The DELL Latitude 5424 Rugged is a 14.0-inch laptop designed for professionals who operate in harsh environments. Its chassis meets military-grade durability standards and the non-touch FHD display reaches brightness levels readable in direct sunlight. The system suits mobile workers who need a reliable device that withstands vibration, dust and temperature extremes without sacrificing a standard clamshell form factor.

Sustained performance with integrated graphics

The quad-core Intel Core i7-8650U processor runs at speeds up to 4.20 GHz with 8MB L2 cache, backed by 32GB DDR4 memory and a 128GB SSD. Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles everyday visual tasks and external displays through HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. This configuration delivers consistent responsiveness for business applications and data entry during full-shift use rather than short bursts of heavy compute.

Rugged chassis and versatile I/O

The black ruggedised body includes a full-size HDMI port, DisplayPort, USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a USB Type-C connector, RJ-45 Ethernet and a legacy serial port for industrial equipment. An internal DVD drive remains available for archival media. Hot-swappable battery bays support optional bridge and extended packs so the machine stays powered during continuous field operations without hunting for a wall outlet.
