Questions about this item

How often should the 6-cell or 9-cell battery packs be swapped to maintain all-day runtime?

The rugged chassis uses hot-swap bridge batteries so a depleted pack can be exchanged without shutting down; keep a charged spare ready for full-shift coverage.

Which component hits its thermal ceiling first when the i5-8350U runs at 3.60 GHz for hours?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 shares the same thermal envelope as the CPU, so sustained 3D or video workloads will throttle the graphics slice before the cores.

What noise and heat levels should I expect from the dual-fan cooling during a typical 8-hour field shift?

Fan speed ramps with core temperature; under mixed office and GPS loads the system stays audible but not distracting, and the magnesium chassis spreads heat away from the palm rest.
