14-inch FHD IPS Ultrabook for business users

This Lenovo ThinkPad T480 or T490 delivers a 14.0-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS non-touch display in a compact chassis. It runs on an Intel Core i7-8550U quad-core processor at 1.8GHz with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB SSD. Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled for immediate deployment.

Integrated UHD Graphics 620 limits heavy visual work

The Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles office applications, video playback and multi-monitor output through HDMI. It is not suited for 3D rendering, modern gaming or GPU-accelerated compute workloads. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance should consider a different system.

Replaces dual-core ultrabooks

Moving from a dual-core mobile CPU to this 8th Gen quad-core i7 cuts compile times and multitasking latency for developers and analysts. The 32GB RAM ceiling and 1TB NVME SSD remove memory and storage bottlenecks common in 8GB or 256GB configurations. The upgrade is worth it when daily workflows hit CPU or memory limits on older hardware.
