Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the iStorage diskAshur2 500GB Green, and do I need to buy a cable or software separately?

The package includes the portable drive, a protective carry case and a quick start guide. No separate cable or software purchase is required because the drive uses a USB 3.1 connection and works with a simple 7-15 digit PIN.

The specs list USB 3.1 and USB 3.2 speeds up to 160MB/s read and 143MB/s write; which version should I expect on this 500GB model?

The drive connects via USB 3.1 and delivers backwards-compatible USB 3.2 data transfer speeds rated at up to 160MB/s read and 143MB/s write.

What does the AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption mean for daily use once the drive is plugged into my laptop?

Enter your 7-15 digit PIN on the built-in keypad to unlock the drive; all data is then encrypted in real time with AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption, and the drive locks automatically when disconnected.
