Mobile workstation for intensive workloads

The Dell Precision 5530 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i9-8950HK six-core processor. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. The dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P2000 with 4 GB GDDR5 targets professional graphics applications. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Premium chassis and professional connectivity

The silver chassis uses an InfinityEdge IPS panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 72% colour gamut coverage. Dual fans manage thermals under sustained load. Ports include two USB 3.1 Gen 1, one Thunderbolt 3 with four lanes of PCIe, HDMI 2.0 and a headphone/microphone combo jack. A Dell AC adapter is included.

Platform limits for expandability and display

Memory tops out at 32 GB DDR4, so users needing more capacity must look elsewhere. The single M.2 slot restricts storage expansion to one drive. Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0 cap external display bandwidth at the levels those standards define. The 4 GB Quadro P2000 frames the ceiling for GPU-accelerated workflows.
