Mobile workstation with UHD touch display

The Dell Precision 5530 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation running Windows 11 Pro. It combines an 8th Gen Intel Core i9-8950HK six-core processor with 32 GB DDR4 RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. A dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P2000 with 4 GB GDDR5 drives the 3840 x 2160 IPS touchscreen.

Suited for colour-critical creative workloads

The 72 % colour gamut panel and Quadro graphics serve designers and engineers who need accurate on-screen colour and ISV-certified drivers. Buyers who need a larger colour volume or higher refresh rate for competitive gaming should look elsewhere.

3840 x 2160 touchscreen decides fit

The UHD multi-touch InfinityEdge display is the specification that determines whether this chassis matches the workflow. If the resolution, touch input and panel quality meet the brief, the supporting hardware is already configured to drive it.

Questions about this item

Can the 32 GB DDR4 memory and 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD be used with an older laptop that only has SATA slots?

The memory is DDR4 SODIMM and the SSD is an M.2 NVMe drive; neither will fit a SATA-only laptop.

How do I confirm the 3840 x 2160 touchscreen and NVIDIA Quadro P2000 4 GB GDDR5 are active after installing Windows 11 Pro?

Open Display Settings to verify the 3840 x 2160 resolution and touch input, then check Device Manager under Display adapters for the Quadro P2000 with 4 GB dedicated video memory.

Does the box include a Thunderbolt 3 cable and an HDMI 2.0 cable for the ports listed, or must I buy them separately?

The box contains the Dell AC adapter only; Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0 cables are not included and must be purchased separately.
