Precision 5530 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 5530 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i9-8950HK six-core processor. It ships with 16 GB DDR4 RAM and a 4 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. The dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P2000 graphics card provides 4 GB GDDR5 video memory. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Sustained load with dual-fan cooling

A dual-fan cooling system is designed to improve airflow and keep the system cool under heavy workloads. The hexa-core i9-8950HK runs at 2.90 GHz base clock and can reach 4.80 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology. The Quadro P2000 handles professional graphics applications without thermal throttling during extended sessions.

Connectivity comprises two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one Thunderbolt 3 port with x4 PCIe lanes, one HDMI 2.0 output, and a headphone/microphone combo jack. A Dell AC adapter is included. Questions about this item

How much heat and noise do the dual fans produce when the i9-8950HK runs at 4.80 GHz all day?

The cooling system uses dual fans to improve airflow and keep the chassis cool under sustained loads from the 6-core processor.

Which cables or docks must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0 ports?

You need a Thunderbolt 3 cable or dock for the USB-C port and an HDMI 2.0 cable for the HDMI output.

Will my SATA SSD work alongside the 4TB PCIe NVMe M.2 drive already installed?

The specifications list only the 4TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD with no HDD, so there is no SATA bay for an additional drive.
