Mobile workstation for creative professionals

The Dell Precision 5530 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built for engineers, designers and content creators who need certified professional graphics and six-core processing power in a silver aluminium chassis. It ships with Windows 10 Pro installed and a 72-per-cent colour-gamut IPS panel.

Upgrading from integrated graphics

Moving to the dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P2000 with 4GB GDDR5 and the six-core Intel Core i9-8950HK at 2.90 GHz base clock makes the jump worthwhile when you run CAD, 3D rendering or video editing workloads that exceed integrated-graphics memory or dual-core throughput. The 4TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and 32GB DDR4 RAM remove storage and memory bottlenecks common on earlier configurations.

Sustained load behaviour with dual-fan cooling

The dual-fan thermal design maintains airflow during extended render or simulation sessions, keeping the CPU able to reach its 4.80 GHz turbo frequency and the Quadro P2000 stable under continuous compute demand. Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0 ports stay active for external displays and high-speed storage without throttling the internal pipeline.
