17.3" FHD IPS laptop with 36GB RAM

The ASUS VivoBook pairs a 17.3 inch Full HD IPS display with an Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor, 36GB of DDR4 memory and dual storage comprising a 512GB PCIe SSD and a 1TB hard drive. It ships with Windows 11 Home, Wi-Fi 6 AX201, Bluetooth 5.1, a fingerprint reader and a backlit keyboard. The 45W power supply charges a 3-cell 47 WHr battery.

Suited to office work and study.

This configuration fits users who need a large screen, ample memory for multitasking and generous combined storage for documents and media. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles everyday productivity and video playback. Buyers who require a dedicated GPU for gaming or GPU-accelerated rendering, a higher-colour-gamut panel, or more than one high-speed USB-A connection should consider other models.

Dual-storage layout: 512GB NVMe SSD plus 1TB HDD

The primary drive is a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD that holds the operating system and frequently used applications for fast boot and load times. A secondary 1TB mechanical drive adds bulk capacity for large files and backups. This split means the laptop delivers both responsiveness and volume without requiring an external enclosure.

Questions about this item

Can the 32 GB DDR4 SODIMM be replaced with a larger module later?

The 32 GB DDR4 SODIMM occupies the single upgrade slot; it can be swapped for another DDR4 module, but 4 GB is soldered on board and cannot be changed.

What limits the Core i5-1035G1 during long heavy workloads?

The 45 W power adapter and 47 Wh battery cap sustained performance, so the 3.6 GHz turbo drops once the cooling and power budget are reached.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the laptop runs all day?

The 45 W supply and 47 Wh battery keep thermals moderate; fan noise rises under load but stays at typical office levels for a 17.3" ultrabook.
