Target user and purpose

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 is a 17.3 inch laptop built for office work and study. It combines a 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor with 20GB of DDR4 memory and dual storage totalling 2TB. The Full HD IPS display and Windows 10 Pro make it suitable for multitasking and document handling.

Installation notes

The system arrives with the memory and storage upgrades already installed by the supplier's technicians. No internal assembly is required from the buyer. The only setup steps are the standard Windows 10 Pro out-of-box experience and driver updates. A non-technical user can complete this without tools.

Pre-purchase checks

Verify that a 17.3 inch form factor fits your workspace and carrying bag, as the chassis measures 16.00 by 10.06 by 0.62 inches and weighs 5.06lb. Confirm you need Windows 10 Pro rather than a newer edition. The Intel UHD integrated graphics limit the machine to light creative tasks and casual use.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 20GB DDR4 memory and dual-storage configuration are recognised after first boot?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab to confirm 20GB total memory and check File Explorer for both the 1TB PCIe SSD and 1TB HDD appearing as separate drives.

Which accessories are included in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the laptop, 45W power supply, and documentation; any external optical drive, additional USB-C hub, or laptop sleeve must be bought separately.

Should I choose the 20GB RAM / 1TB SSD + 1TB HDD version or a different capacity?

This model is only offered with 20GB DDR4 (4GB onboard + 16GB SODIMM) and the combined 1TB PCIe SSD plus 1TB HDD, so no alternative capacity exists for this SKU.
