Ready for daily work and study

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 is a 17.3-inch laptop built around a 10th Generation Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with four cores and a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. It pairs 12GB of DDR4 memory (4GB soldered plus an 8GB module) with a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD and a 1TB hard drive. The Full HD IPS display runs at 60 Hz and the system ships with Windows 11 Home 64-bit, making it suited to office tasks, web browsing and media playback.

Check your workflow needs before ordering

The integrated Intel UHD graphics and 60 Hz panel limit gaming and colour-critical creative work. Only one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port are available alongside two USB 2.0 ports, so users with several high-speed peripherals may need a hub. The 4GB soldered memory cannot be replaced, capping future upgrades to the single SO-DIMM slot. There is no optical drive and the micro SD reader tops out at standard card speeds.

Silver chassis with fingerprint login

The silver laptop weighs 5.06 lb and measures 16.00 by 10.06 by 0.6 inches, so it fits large backpacks but is not an ultraportable. A 47 Wh three-cell battery and 45 W power supply handle daily charging. The backlit full-size keyboard includes a numeric keypad and the fingerprint reader sits beside the trackpad for Windows Hello sign-in. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6 AX201, Bluetooth 5.1, HDMI output and a combo audio jack.

Questions about this item

Does the box contain the laptop, charger and documentation, or must I buy a power adapter separately?

The package includes the laptop, a 45 W power supply and standard documentation; no separate adapter is required.

Should I choose the 12 GB DDR4 configuration or look for a different memory size?

This unit ships with 12 GB DDR4 (4 GB onboard plus an 8 GB SO-DIMM) and has no free slots, so the installed capacity is the only option.

What does the 3.6 GHz turbo frequency mean for everyday tasks like web browsing and video calls?

The Core i5-1035G1 can boost to 3.6 GHz for short bursts, keeping web pages and 720p video calls responsive while the base clock handles background work.
