17.3-inch FHD IPS display laptop

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 is a 17.3-inch laptop with a Full HD IPS panel running at 60 Hz. It is powered by a 10th Generation Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with four cores and a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 36GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout of 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD plus 2TB HDD. Windows 11 Home 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Upgrade from 8GB or 16GB configurations

This unit replaces standard models that ship with 8GB or 16GB of soldered or single-slot memory. The jump to 36GB is worth it when you run virtual machines, large spreadsheets or multiple creative applications at once. The combined 1TB NVMe SSD and 2TB HDD also removes the need to choose between speed and capacity. Buyers who need discrete graphics or a higher refresh-rate screen should look elsewhere.

Professionally upgraded and ready to use

The manufacturer box was opened by technicians to install the 32GB SO-DIMM module and verify the dual-storage configuration. No further hardware installation is required. The only common issue is forgetting to initialise the 2TB HDD in Disk Management before first use. All ports, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and the fingerprint reader work out of the box.

Questions about this item

Will the 16.00 x 10.06 x 0.62 inch chassis fit in my 17.3 inch laptop sleeve?

The chassis measures 16.00 inches wide by 10.06 inches deep by 0.62 inches high, so compare those dimensions with your sleeve's internal clearance.

The 32 GB SODIMM is user-replaceable, but the 4 GB is soldered — which slot do I open?

Remove the bottom cover to access the single SODIMM slot; the 4 GB onboard memory is soldered and not removable.

When will the 47 WHr battery need replacing?

The 3-cell 47 WHr battery is internal; replacement requires disassembly and is typically considered when runtime drops below your needs.
