17.3-inch laptop for multitasking professionals

This ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 combines a 17.3-inch Full HD IPS display with a quad-core Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor. The 36 GB DDR4 memory and dual-drive storage suit office workloads, web browsing and light content creation. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed on the 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD.

36 GB DDR4 and hybrid storage capacity

The 4 GB onboard plus 32 GB SODIMM memory handles dozens of browser tabs and office suites without swapping. The 512 GB NVMe SSD provides fast boot and application load times while the 1 TB HDD stores large media libraries. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics limits 3D rendering and modern gaming performance.

Intel UHD integrated graphics constraint

Buyers needing discrete GPU acceleration for video editing, CAD or gaming should look elsewhere. The 60 Hz non-touch panel and 45 W power adapter support general productivity but not sustained heavy compute. Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1 cover modern wireless needs.

Questions about this item

Will the 17.3" 1920 x 1080 IPS screen work with my older HDMI monitor?

The laptop includes an HDMI port that can drive an external display alongside the built-in 17.3" 1920 x 1080 60Hz IPS panel.

How can I confirm the 36GB DDR4 memory is recognised after setup?

Open Task Manager or System Information in Windows 10 Pro; both will show 36GB DDR4 (4GB onboard plus 32GB SO-DIMM) as installed memory.

What ports and accessories come in the box versus what I must add?

The box supplies the laptop, 45W power adapter, and documentation; ports provided are USB 3.2 Gen1, USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1, two USB 2.0, HDMI, micro SD reader, and combo audio jack — no optical drive, so add an external one if needed.
