17.3-inch Full HD laptop for everyday productivity

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 pairs a 10th-generation Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with 20GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout of 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD plus 2TB HDD. The 17.3-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS panel runs at 60Hz and covers a 16:9 aspect ratio. Integrated Intel UHD graphics handle desktop tasks and video playback. Windows 10 Home 64-bit ships pre-installed.

Sustained workload behaviour

The four-core CPU reaches a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency for short bursts but settles lower during long sessions because the 45W power supply and 47 Whr battery limit thermal headroom. Integrated graphics share system memory, so extended 3D or heavy compute tasks will throttle once the 20GB DDR4 pool fills. The 60Hz display caps visual refresh regardless of frame output. Fan noise rises under continuous load.

Installation notes and common issues

The laptop arrives ready to use with the upgraded RAM and storage already installed by the technician team. Initial setup follows the standard Windows 10 out-of-box experience; driver updates for Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1 may be required. The 4GB onboard memory cannot be replaced, limiting future expansion to the single SODIMM slot. Some users report the 720p webcam and fingerprint reader need Windows Hello enrolment before first use.
