36GB DDR4 17.3-inch laptop

This ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 pairs a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 with 36GB of DDR4 memory. Storage combines a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD and a 2TB hard drive. The 17.3-inch Full HD IPS panel runs at 60Hz. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Suited for multitasking office work.

The four-core processor and large memory capacity handle heavy browser tabs, spreadsheets and video calls. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics limits 3D rendering, modern gaming and GPU-accelerated creative workloads. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card should look elsewhere.

1TB NVMe SSD plus 2TB HDD hybrid storage

The boot drive uses PCIe NVMe for fast system response while the mechanical drive adds bulk capacity for archives and media. This two-drive layout is the deciding factor for users who want speed and space without choosing one.

Questions about this item

Will the USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port drive my older USB 2.0 peripherals without extra adapters?

Yes, the USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port is backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices, though they will run at USB 2.0 speeds. A simple Type-C to Type-A cable or adapter is all that is needed.

How can I confirm the 36 GB DDR4 memory is running in dual-channel mode after first boot?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, and check the memory slots used — it should show 2 of 2 slots populated, indicating dual-channel operation.

Which items ship inside the box and what must I source separately?

The box contains the laptop, 45 W power adapter, and documentation. No external mouse, laptop sleeve, USB-C hub, or additional storage drives are included.
