ASUS VivoBook S712JA 17.3 inch laptop

This ASUS VivoBook S712JA is a 17.3 inch Full HD laptop powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with 36GB DDR4 memory and dual storage. It suits office workers and students who need a large screen for multitasking and a numeric keypad for data entry.

Installation and common issues

The system arrives with Windows 11 Pro already installed and the memory and storage upgrades professionally configured by the integrator. No user assembly is required; simply complete the Windows out-of-box experience. The only common difficulty is adjusting to the 5.06lb weight if you plan frequent travel.

Pre-purchase checklist

Verify that a 17.3 inch form factor fits your workspace and carrying bag, as the chassis measures 16.00 by 10.06 by 0.6 inches. Confirm you can rely on integrated Intel UHD graphics for your workload, since there is no discrete GPU option. Ensure the port selection — USB 3.2 Gen1, USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1, two USB 2.0, HDMI and micro SD — covers your peripherals.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the i5-1035G1 processor is reaching its 3.6 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab or a monitoring utility and watch the CPU clock while running a demanding task; the readout should show speeds up to 3.6 GHz when thermal headroom allows.

Which accessories are included in the box and which must be purchased separately?

The box contains the laptop, 45 W power adapter, and documentation; external mice, laptop sleeves, USB-C hubs or additional storage drives are not included.

Should I choose the 256 GB PCIe SSD plus 1 TB HDD configuration or a different storage layout?

This model ships with that exact 256 GB NVMe SSD for the OS and a 1 TB hard drive for bulk data; no alternative storage options are offered for this SKU.
