Product overview

This ASUS VivoBook is a 17.3 inch Full HD laptop powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with four cores and a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 12GB of DDR4 memory, a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD paired with a 1TB hard drive, and Windows 11 Pro 64-bit. The IPS display delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60Hz, while integrated Intel UHD Graphics handle visual output.

Who this suits

The large anti-glare screen, full-size backlit keyboard with numeric keypad, and fingerprint reader make it practical for office work, study sessions and video calls. Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1 provide modern wireless connectivity, and the dual-drive layout offers both fast boot speeds and ample bulk storage. Buyers who need dedicated graphics for heavy 3D work or gaming, or who require a touchscreen, should consider other options.

Deciding specification

The 12GB DDR4 memory uses a mixed configuration with 4GB soldered on board and an 8GB SO-DIMM module, limiting future upgrades to a single slot. If your workflow demands more than 12GB of RAM, this ceiling is the critical factor.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the i5-1035G1 get with the 45 W adapter and 47 Whr battery during all-day use?

The 45 W adapter and 47 Whr battery support modest thermals; the Intel UHD integrated graphics and 1.00 GHz base i5-1035G1 run cool enough that fan noise stays low during typical office workloads.

Which peripherals do I need to supply myself to start working with the HDMI, USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1 and Micro SD reader?

You only need an external monitor with an HDMI cable, any USB-C device or hub, and a Micro SD card; the laptop already includes a backlit keyboard, 720p webcam, fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1.

Will my existing DDR4 SO-DIMM modules work alongside the 4 GB onboard memory?

The system uses DDR4 memory; the 8 GB SO-DIMM slot can accept compatible DDR4 modules, so your existing DDR4 sticks can be used if they match the form factor and voltage.
