17.3 inch IPS laptop for office work

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 is a 17.3 inch Full HD IPS laptop powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with 20GB DDR4 memory. It combines a 256GB SATA SSD and a 1TB HDD for storage. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed.

Suits users needing a large screen

This configuration fits buyers who want a spacious 1920 x 1080 display and a full-size backlit keyboard with a 10-key pad for data entry. It is not for buyers who need discrete graphics performance, a touchscreen, or a lighter chassis for frequent travel.

256GB SATA SSD plus 1TB HDD storage combination

The dual-drive layout provides a SATA solid-state drive for the operating system and a mechanical hard drive for bulk files. Verify that your workload fits within the 256GB SSD portion for fast boot and application loading.

Questions about this item

Is the 20GB DDR4 memory a single module or a mixed configuration?

The 20GB DDR4 memory combines 4GB soldered onboard with a 16GB SO-DIMM module, so it is a mixed configuration rather than a single stick.

What real-world speed can I expect from the 256GB SATA SSD compared to the 1TB HDD?

The SATA SSD delivers typical SATA sequential speeds for fast boot and app loads, while the 1TB HDD provides bulk capacity at slower mechanical-drive speeds.

Does the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1 port support video output or charging?

The USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1 port handles data at up to 5 Gbps; video output is provided by the separate HDMI port, and charging uses the dedicated 45W power adapter.
