ASUS VivoBook 17.3-inch FHD IPS laptop

This ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 is a 17.3-inch laptop with a Full HD IPS display running Windows 10 Pro. It uses an Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with four cores and Intel UHD integrated graphics. The system includes 36GB of DDR4 memory and dual storage with a 256GB SATA SSD plus a 1TB hard drive.

Suits office work and study.

The four-core processor and integrated graphics handle web browsing, document editing and video calls smoothly. The large screen and full-size backlit keyboard support long typing sessions. Buyers who need discrete graphics for modern games or GPU-accelerated rendering should look at a different class of machine.

36GB DDR4 memory (4GB onboard + 32GB SODIMM)

The laptop ships with 36GB of DDR4 RAM composed of 4GB soldered to the board and a 32GB SODIMM module. This capacity supports heavy multitasking and large browser workloads. Verify that any future memory changes match the DDR4 specification and SODIMM form factor.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 36GB DDR4 memory and 256GB SATA SSD plus 1TB HDD are recognised after setup?

Open Task Manager and check the Performance tab; it should show 36GB total memory. In File Explorer, look for a fast C: drive around 256GB and a larger D: drive near 1TB, confirming both drives are active.

What accessories are included and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the laptop, a 45W power adapter, and documentation. No external mouse, laptop sleeve, USB-C hub, or additional storage drives are included, so buy those separately if needed.

Which memory configuration suits my workload — the base 4GB onboard or the upgraded 36GB total?

The unit ships with 36GB total DDR4 (4GB soldered plus a 32GB SO-DIMM). This single configuration handles multitasking and heavy browser use far better than the base 4GB alone.
