Office workers and students needing screen area

Users who want a lightweight ultraportable, a discrete graphics card for gaming or creative rendering, a touchscreen, or a different memory generation should look elsewhere.

20GB DDR4 memory configuration

The system combines 4GB of onboard DDR4 with a 16GB SO-DIMM module for 20GB total capacity; this mixed layout determines upgrade limits and must match any future memory additions.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the 17.3 inch chassis need on a desk?

The laptop measures 16.00 inches wide by 10.06 inches deep by 0.62 inches high and weighs 5.06 pounds, so allow a few extra inches around the edges for ventilation and cable routing.

What is the correct order for installing the 16 GB SO-DIMM alongside the 4 GB onboard memory?

Power off, unplug the 45 W adapter, remove the bottom cover, align the notch on the DDR4 module with the slot key, press firmly until the clips click, then replace the cover before booting.

When will the 3-cell 47 WHr battery need replacement?

Expect the battery to hold a useful charge for two to three years of daily cycling; when runtime drops sharply, order a compatible 3-cell 47 WHr pack and swap it after removing the bottom cover.
