17.3" FHD IPS laptop with dual storage

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 is a 17.3-inch Full HD IPS laptop powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor. It combines 12GB of DDR4 memory with a 256GB SATA SSD and a 1TB hard drive. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed. The silver chassis includes a backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader and 720p webcam.

Connectivity and ports for everyday use

Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1 handle wireless connections while USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 1, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI and a micro SD reader cover wired peripherals. Buyers who need an optical drive or more than one high-speed USB-C port should consider other models. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics suit office work and streaming but not demanding 3D tasks.

256GB SATA SSD plus 1TB HDD capacity

The dual-drive layout provides a 256GB SATA SSD for the operating system and a 1TB hard drive for bulk files. This split decides whether the laptop matches a workflow that wants fast boot times alongside high local capacity without relying on external storage.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the i5-1035G1 processor is running at its 3.6 GHz turbo speed after setup?

Open Task Manager in Windows 11 Home, go to the Performance tab, and watch the CPU clock speed rise toward 3.6 GHz when a heavy load is applied.

Which accessories are included and which must be purchased separately for the S712JA-WH54?

The box contains the laptop, a 45W power adapter, and documentation; any external mouse, USB hub, or laptop sleeve must be bought separately.

Should I choose the 12GB DDR4 configuration or look for a different capacity?

The 12GB DDR4 (4GB onboard + 8GB SODIMM) is the only memory option offered for this model, so no other capacity choice exists.
