17.3-inch FHD IPS laptop with 20 GB DDR4

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 is a 17.3-inch Full HD IPS laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with four cores and a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 20 GB of DDR4 memory arranged as 4 GB onboard plus a 16 GB SO-DIMM. Storage combines a 512 GB SATA SSD and a 2 TB hard drive. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Check memory layout and port needs

The 20 GB RAM configuration uses one soldered 4 GB module and one removable 16 GB SO-DIMM, so only a single slot is available for future expansion. Connectivity includes one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, two USB 2.0, one USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 1, one HDMI, a microSD reader and a combo audio jack. Verify that the Type-C port and HDMI output match your external display or docking requirements before ordering.

45 W adapter and 47 Wh battery for daily use

A 45 W power supply charges the 3-cell 47 Wh battery, which is sized for typical office and web workloads on the 60 Hz IPS panel. Integrated Intel UHD graphics keep heat output modest during document editing and video playback, allowing the cooling system to run quietly under light loads. Heavier multitasking or sustained CPU turbo will increase fan activity and reduce battery runtime.
