17.3" laptop for office and study

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 is a 17.3 inch Windows 11 Pro laptop built around a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with four cores and a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 12GB of DDR4 memory arranged as 4GB onboard plus an 8GB SO-DIMM, and a dual-drive layout of a 256GB SATA SSD paired with a 1TB hard drive. The 1920 x 1080 IPS display runs at 60 Hz and is non-touch.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This configuration suits buyers who want a large screen for documents, web browsing and video calls, backed by Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1. The fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard add convenience for mobile work. Buyers who need dedicated graphics performance for gaming or creative rendering should look elsewhere, as the laptop uses Intel UHD integrated graphics only.

Storage split that decides fit

The decisive specification is the 256GB SATA SSD combined with a 1TB HDD, which gives fast boot and application launch from the SSD while keeping bulk files on the hard drive. If a single large solid-state drive is required, this split does not meet that need.
