17.3-inch laptop for everyday work

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 combines a 17.3-inch Full HD IPS display with a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor, 12GB DDR4 memory, a 512GB SATA SSD and a 2TB hard drive. It runs Windows 10 Home and includes a backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader and 720p webcam. The silver chassis weighs 5.06lb and measures 16.00 by 10.06 by 0.6 inches.

Integrated graphics and SATA SSD speed

Intel UHD Graphics handles only light visual tasks and is not suited for modern gaming or intensive rendering. The 512GB boot drive uses the SATA interface, so its transfer rates are limited to the SATA 6Gb/s ceiling rather than faster PCIe speeds. Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1 provide current wireless connectivity, while the single USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port supports data only, not video or charging.

Dual-drive layout with mixed ports

The 2TB hard drive adds bulk capacity for media libraries, though its mechanical nature means slower access and audible operation compared to solid-state storage. Ports include one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, two USB 2.0 Type-A, one HDMI, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, a microSD reader and a headphone/microphone combo jack. The 45W adapter charges a 3-cell 47Wh battery, and the laptop ships in new condition with a one-year manufacturer warranty from the upgraders.
