17.3" FHD laptop with dual storage

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 is a 17.3-inch Windows 11 Home laptop built around a 10th Generation Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with four cores and a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. It pairs 20GB of DDR4 memory with a 1TB SATA SSD and a 1TB HDD. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 IPS panel.

Suits office and study; not for heavy GPU work

This configuration suits users who need a large screen for documents, web browsing and video calls, plus ample local storage for files and backups. The integrated graphics and 60 Hz display make it a poor fit for buyers who want to run modern 3D titles, CAD workloads or colour-critical creative applications.

20GB DDR4 (4GB soldered + 16GB module)

The memory subsystem uses DDR4 with 4GB soldered to the board and a 16GB SO-DIMM installed. Buyers who want more storage can add drives externally, but the soldered portion means total system memory cannot exceed 20GB without replacing the board.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 17.3" FHD IPS panel is running at 60 Hz after setup?

Open Windows Settings, go to System > Display > Advanced display, and check that the refresh rate shows 60 Hz for the built-in 1920 x 1080 screen.

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately for the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1 and HDMI ports?

The box includes the laptop, 45 W power adapter, and documentation; cables or adapters for the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1 and HDMI ports are not included and must be purchased separately.

Which configuration should I choose if I need both fast boot and large media storage on this S712JA-WH54?

This single SKU already provides a 1 TB SATA SSD for the OS and apps plus a 1 TB HDD for bulk files, so no alternative capacity version exists to select.
